History:
The Hungarian half-bred originated from Gidran horses imported to Hungry
in 1816 at the Mezohegyes Stud. Crosses with Thoroughbred and Arabian blood produced a
quality horse with a good, ground covering gallop. During the 1960's Hungarian studs
crossed Furioso and Gidran horses with imported Hanoverians and Holsteiners to develop a
modern sports horse.

Today:
Hungarian half-breds are outstanding achievers at International
four-in-hand driving and three day eventing. They are suitable for most riding activities
including trick riding displays.
