JOHN MORISH

John Morish started his career working for the internationally renowned trainers Charlie Whittingham, Ron McAnally (USA), Barry Hills and Peter Walwyn (GB). Over the next 8 years he gained further experience as foreman for Australian trainer Bart Cummings. In 1988 John took out his own trainer licence.
John Morish is a successful, discerning yearling buyer and well respected by horse breeders and trainers. His stable is located in Sydney at the Royal Randwick Racecourse where he trains only 24 horses.

-  prepared 158 individual metropolitan winners
-  trained 37 black type race winners, 6 Group 1, 8 Group 2, 9 Group 3, 14 Listed
-  1994 Sydney's leading trainer by strike rate, 1 winner every 5.5 starters
