WOOTTON FAMILY

The Wootton family had and still has a strong influence on breeding and horse racing in Australia.
Richard "Dick" Wootton was a leading trainer in Australia and England. His son Frank became one of England's leading jockeys and his son Stanley had great success as a trainer in England.
Stanley exported the stallion Star Kingdom to Australia which is now recognized as one of the most influential sire lines in the Australian horse racing industry. Stanley's daughter Catherine Remond is a leading breeder continuing the Wootton Family success by breeding the sprinter Schillaci.
